A.High speed wire rod mill

There are two types of machines used for producing low carbon steel wire rods. One type is the double-strand rolling mill which produces regular wire rods. 1.Raw Material Preparation:

Iron ore and recycled steel scrap are melted in a furnace, where impurities are removed and certain alloying elements are added to create steel billets, which are the raw materials for producing high quality low carbon steel wire rod.

Steel billets are generally 6 to 12 meters in length and can be ensured for quality compliance using methods such as electromagnetic induction.

2.Hot heating and rolling:

The next step is to heat the steel billets in a furnace, ensuring that the heating temperature remains stable. And then, the steel billets are fed into high-speed wire rod rolling mills. Typically, more than twenty wire rod mills are used simultaneously to shape the steel billets into long round wire rods, which are then coiled into rolls.

3.Cooling:

After hot rolling, the low carbon steel wire rod coils are rapidly cooled to room temperature.
